ORTHODOXY

The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is Orthodox, but not Jewish. It is Catholic, but not Roman. It is not non-denominational, it is pre-denominational. It has been believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for. It is the Faith that has established the universe.

The Nicene Creed was formally drawn up at the first ecumenical council in Nicea (325) at the second ecumenical council in Constantinople (381) and at the third ecumenical council in Ephesus (341)

There are two unshakable pillars on which the Christian faith stands. These are aspects which we do not find in other religions. These two stand together as the hallmark of the Christian Faith.

Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. Setting this ladder of a supreme goal in life, Christ liberates our mind which is quite often caught up in the tunnel of low and petty goals

The Orthodox Church does not worship Saints. The worship of Saints is definitely forbidden by the Church

The canon of the mass, with words of institution, anamnesis and epiclesis is said aloud by the priest, with responses from the people.
